From 20 February to 23 March 2018, the Consumers Association of Singapore (“CASE”) received four complaints regarding the closure of Novelty Auto Pte Ltd. The registered office address of the business is at 10 Kaki Bukit Road 2 #01-07 First East Centre Singapore 417868. The date of registration for the business was in July 2017.
Most consumers reported to CASE that the business had promised to deliver their cars within a few months, but the business has since vacated its premises and is now uncontactable. Consumers also feedback that they had paid deposits for their cars amounting to approximately $98,000 in total.
Affected consumers may approach CASE for further assistance. Consumers who suspect that fraud is involved should report such cases to the police.
