From 30 July to 20 August 2018, the Consumers Association of Singapore (“CASE”) received eight complaints* regarding the closure of Home Pro Furnishing Private Limited (“Home Pro”). The registered office address of Home Pro is 3 Gambas Crescent #01-01 Nordcom One Singapore 757088. The company was newly registered on 29 March 2018.
Most of the consumers who reported to CASE mentioned that the company had failed to deliver their furniture on the promised date. They recently found out that the shopfront had closed down and the company is now uncontactable. Consumers also feedback that they had paid a deposit or in full upfront for their furniture amounting to approximately $8,000 in total.
Affected consumers with unresolved disputes against the company may approach CASE for further assistance (hotline: 6100 0315, website: www.case.org.sg).
Meanwhile, CASE would like to remind consumers to always negotiate to pay a small deposit upon signing of the agreement and the remaining payment after the furniture is delivered in satisfactory condition, instead of paying in full upfront to the company.
